What MMR Can Do for You

Part of what makes MMR unique is our ability to be flexible to your needs.  We are a small organization with great flexibility.  We can work with your needs.  Let us know how we can help you.

Below are just a few of the ways that MMR can help you.

Partnering with Field Teams
We can help partner you with field teams that are using health strategies for disciple making and church planting.  Our options are going to be in what are known as restricted access locations due to governments desires to keep out missionaries.  Running health-based strategies lets field personnel get a visa and do what they told the government they would do while helping field teams be in position for Kingdom work.  Practically, that also means that our projects typically require more of a time commitment (at least 12-14 days for most areas, though there are some 10 day options) and are more expensive because of where they are.

Providing Volunteers You May Need
Through networks and contacts, we are working with volunteers from all over that are looking for projects to join.  If you are an individual or small group that is looking for a project to join, we have options in every month of the year.  If your church has a full medical team that can go, that is great, we can work with that, but many churches do not have enough medical professionals to make a full team.  We can add to what you have and fill in the gaps.  Even churches that are very large will occasionally need help if someone backs out or is not able to go.  For our project areas, we can help.

Preparing You for Work in Restricted Access Areas
Work in restricted access (also called closed, creative access, or 10/40 window) countries is a unique animal in its own right.  Though there are similarities, it is different than working in an open area.  There are a list of land minds that can catch an inexperienced team in a bad situation.  We can help you navigate these issues.  By working with field teams already in place with a strategy and by properly equipping the volunteers with good orientation and security preparation, most of these land minds can be avoided.

Providing Logistical Help
We can help take the burden of project preparation off of volunteers.  For churches and individuals, we can operate as the extended missions staff for your project.  We can handle the logistics of getting visas, volunteer insurance, and flights (to name a few of the issues).  We also work directly with field teams in handling the in-country logistics for our projects.  This allows the volunteer team to focus on the needed aspect of a project, getting spiritually ready to serve.  This also helps the volunteer/field relationship as the two groups can focus on communication of more importance instead of details.

Providing Rotations for Students
Medical students who are interested in missions work have unique opportunities during parts of their schooling to receive credit for international rotations.  Though our sites are limited on availability, we can work with students to provide a site for rotations.  Contact to find out if we can help you.

There are many other ways we can work with you and help you as well.  Let us know what your unique needs may be.  We're here to help get people involved in reaching those that have not heard by putting you in a strategic situation to make a difference.
