As a part of a Medical Missions Response project, you are being asked to fulfill a critical part of a field-based strategy to plant churches. By participating in clinics you will be using your medical skills to provide field personnel access to an area that was previously closed to their work. You can be assured that your time, money, and discomforts will be used in a manner that has true field impact.
Our projects are all requests directly from the field that have fulfilled key criteria. They are projects that are in restricted access areas among least reached peoples. The field has demonstrated overall healthcare strategy for planting churches and that a volunteer project is necessary to advance that strategy. You will work hand in hand as a critical partner to church planting strategy.
The projects listed below are examples of what is available in this area:
South Asia, Site 1: – One of the world’s poorest and least developed nations, their economy is agrarian and major religions are Hinduism and Islam. Lack of access to clean water and oppressive poverty are two major barriers to healthcare delivery here.
South Asia, Site 2: – This large, diverse nation has much strife between religious and social groups. Several locations are opening up where there is much interest in implementing new healthcare strategies.
Himalaya region – June/July – A new project in a remote location with a Buddhist and Muslim population; sure to be an unforgettable experience!
South Asia, Site 3 – This nation is primarily Muslim, but has little evangelical Christian presence. Walk the dirt roads, visit the mud huts, and provide clinics to the vast numbers who are too poor to afford a doctor.
South Asia, Site 4 – The scene of major natural disaster in recent months, this nation has many opportunities to provide needed healthcare and Christlike compassion to a suffering population.
