MESSAGE
|
Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.

Why MMR?
There are many missions organizations in the world. What makes MMR unique? Why should you
be associated with MMR instead of another organization?
Missionaries are our clients
MMR does not initiate medical mission projects. Instead, we respond to project requests that come from missionaries living and working
in the Last Frontier. Of course, these individuals are not able to call themselves missionaries where they are working, but, nonetheless,
they serve in that capacity. Every medical mission project to which MMR responds is connected to the overall mission's strategy of making
disciples among all the nations, forming those disciples into churches, and training those churches to be self-replicating. Self-sustained,
indigenous church planting movements are our ultimate objective.
We are partners in the Gospel
Through the MMR network, project requests from missionaries are passed to the existing evangelical health care organizations and
fellowships, and their members are mobilized in response to these requests. This has two major benefits. First, it enables these
excellent Christian health care organizations to be on the front lines of missions work. Even small organizations can be a part of
disciple-making and church starting in countries that it is not even wise to put into print here. The second benefit is that networking
together many organizations, in all disciplines of health care, greatly expands the resource base for the Great Commission. MMR's
strength is its highly secure relationships with missionaries in the Last Frontier. The strength of the existing health
care fellowships is their large memberships and their organization. In effect, then, MMR allows us all to cooperate together for God's purpose.
Focused exclusively on "the ends of the earth"
In
Colossians 4:3 Paul pleads,
"and pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ..."
Medical missions has a proud history of being that tool which God has used to open up many unreached areas to the
gospel. In these later days the needs of the missionary are still the same. Missionaries of the Last Frontier
are also requesting an open door for God's message.
MMR endeavors to assist these missionaries as God opens up the last doors to those who have not yet heard
"the mystery of Christ."
